  • Database Server
  • Applications Server

Single Server Technology:

Invented in the 1960’s by IBM, system partitioning for multiple businesses on a single main frame computer was an economic necessity. Today, many vendors attempt to diminish the term "legacy systems" while they and their customers buckle under the weight of their own device - an imbalanced dependence on the PC, PC server farms, distributed applications spread across the organization and the intense resources required to support them. Seeking relief, worldwide businesses have turned again to the technology community for solutions that serve growth not impede it. This has led to a re-birth or re-engineering of legacy technology creating a fusion of old school architectures coupled with 21st century innovations.

Whether using a desktop PC or a server employing operating systems from Microsoft, LINUX or legacy (UNIX, OS/5), achieving technological balance leverages all to the benefit of its user. FLEX and its ancillary components are uniquely deployed on IBM’s Virtual Server. Consolidating multiple servers into one allows FLEX to be easily offered in four different environmental deployments. Moreover, a virtual server exponentially simplifies the credit union’s IT environment. After all, managing one server with upgrades, back-ups and maintenance is much easier than dealing with several.

IBM Virtual Server

Natively supports multiple servers employing various operating systems underneath the hood of a single machine precluding any need for add on software or additional technical support.
